Greetings all ! Just finished reading a book concerning the Cactus Air Force and its' day by day struggles against the Japanese forces on Guadacanal.. It is titled "53 Days on Starvation Island" by John R. Bruning. It tells of the missions, and the losses , along with the flight characteristics of the SBD's and the F4F's that they flew. Some here might find it a interesting read. I know I did.
