Caleb Flerk's Guide to Speshul Efeks for CFS2 e-books upload

Shessi

SOH-CM-2025
Hi Folks,
After exhausting trying to contact anybody about the Caleb Flerk website and/or the downloads and information, I've uploaded the full set of e-books to the SOH, to archive them and make them available for everyone.

If anyone is either designing, building or modding aircraft for CFS2 these are a must to read. Huge amounts of useful info from design, damage, animation, DP loadouts, scasm etc.

Cheers

Shessi

Thanks Shessi!

BTW, and not to be choosy beggar ;^) , but is there anyway to open these things in a fashion that will allow one to zoom-in and be able to read them a bit easier? Is thre some sort of eBook reader app? The best I can do by clicking on the exe file is this:

Cheers,
Thanks!

I have a Kindle reader on my computer, which I almost never use BTW, but it doesn't seem much interested in having anything to do with these exe files. The best I can do by clicking on the exe file is this:

There doesn't seem to be anyway to. say, make the view fit the screen width.

Cheers,
Thanks!

Hi MR,
Well no not as they are, as said they are very old e-books.

BUT, I just opened a new .txt document, or you could do it in Word et al. Open the e-book select all in the book and copy and paste into your new text/document, you can then treat as any text/document and make it whatever font size you want, simples. If you do it as a .txt you won't get any pics or diagrams only text, if you do it in eg Word then everything comes over.

Cheers

First off: Don't know how I ended up posting the above post twice.

Thanks Shessi,

Yeah, I copied the ebook contents to blank Word documents, saved as PDFs and all are working great.

Cheers,
MR

Many Thanks!

I wasn't aware the CF's website was kaput. Very grateful, Shessi, that you were able to provide us with a backup. It is a valuable resource, and one we would hate to lose.

:santahat: Merry Christmas!:santahat:

Thanks very much Shessi - this is a valuable resource and a lovely Christmas present.

Cheers guys!

The 'great' CFS2 guru Bill Caraway is the one to thank, as I only uploaded them! ha!

I would love to talk with him, pick his brains about CFS2. I bet he knows of ways 'in', unfinished bits within CFS2 that various people have partially discovered, AND I bet he has a copy of the source code!! :redfire:...if only.

Now, there is other bits from the site that can only be accessed via the Wayback Machine, which is a web archive. No, there are no viruses etc, but it's slow and times-out often, but there is more info if you persevere....
