after 12 missions as fighterpilot with the 28.RFC i got the message:
"No further historical location data for squad - campaign is over"
i can`t fly any QC or campaignmissions with that pilot.
is there any possibility to change the squadron or carry on with the campaign??

There's a recent post somewhere in the OFF forums about how to modify a file so you can tansfer your pilot to a different squadron.

The way I did it was simply to copy and paste the details of the squadron to which you want to transfer over your current squadron details inside your pilot dossier file. Just be sure you only copy over the squadron info, airfield, pilots and planes information or you could have problems. Doing this I transferred from Jasta 4 to Jasta 2 in November of 1916.

I've "transfered" by just going into that pilots data and just change the squadron that you are in now to the squadron you want to be in.

You can find the data here.
C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\CFSWW1 Over Flanders Fields\campaigns\CampaignData\Pilots
The file you need to edit is the pilot dossier. 3rd line down is the Squadron number. Thats the one to change. Then your transfered pilot will pick up with the new squad at the same date. All logs in log book will remain, as will medals, claims, stats, ect. You may need to enter and exit the campaign screen once for the change to take effect though.

Hope this helps.

This will be a big help when I finally try the LaFayette Campaign!. Thanks.

The problem arises, when the squardron Historically receives a new aircraft, that is NOT modelled in OFF Yet

Theoreticly the pilot retires, as there's No Official Transfers, but it has been acomplished. But it hasn't been tested for possible effects. Which is another way of saying: 'if your pilot turns into a pumpkin at midnight, tough Sugar'

Back in Phase 1, there was a squadron assignment spread sheet. It allowed you to compute the future career of your pilot. But it is shamefully out of Date, both in aircraft, and squadrons

However if you want it, PM me with your Email, and I'll send it.
PS . . You'll need the Excel Viewer to read it . . Google ( FREE )

Dear Ump,
28 RFC is being transferred from the Western Front to sunny Italy. Unfortunately, you will not be accompanying them. Please fill out the necessary forms to arrange a transfer. Your King requires your services in France.
