Campaign Mod-eez

I know some of you are "experimental" enough that you have probably done a bit of
tinkering with everything to change the outcome of the war,and some like myself
get half-way thru and just get tired of the lengthy play, and also get bored with
either all your bombers,or all your fighters.

Here while back I started something different. I would get tired of only fighters,
or only using bombers, so here is a way to change that.

I start with making my own campaign file, called it "Fortress_USA", then I take
a plane such as the P-40 or P-47,change the "category" in the xdp file to
"Tactical_Bomber". I add this with bombers I want to use in my campaign
file. Start your "Bomber" campaign and now your fighters can be used along
with your bombers!

My favorite choice of fighter in my current campaign is the F-80
with mounted and modified "Gatlin-Gun" armament. My bomber
favorite is the AVH B-17 2 model with modified bombs. Takes
out a whole artillery battery along with any close support!

I've added a lot of add-on aircraft to the stock campaign but I haven't messed with the aircraft loadouts, yet. Maybe I should give it a whirl:highly_amused:.

I almost forgot Lt. you may already know this though. Make sure all your newly
added aircraft begin with the same date. I use entry-date at 1940 or 41 so
it doesnt cost me anything to change planes, and all of them are available
as soon as you start!

Changing Loadouts is easy, Just remember to delete the >BDP file in the Aircraft you are modifying..
I have changed many of these for aircraft over the years..
Learning without any instruction was a challenge, but once I sorted out how to copy lines, and change the called for Pylon, and or Guns and Bombs.
all was great..

Heck, put nukes on a Fokker DR1 once..(just in case they were needed) OH Yea!!
What if a hobbit had a nuke in 1916..Works for me..

Only problem I found with using the "off-the-line" nuke mods is,you can only get
a few onboard considering the weight. The campaign Im doing even on normal,
you really gotta make those runs count for something.

So what I did is either take like the standard 1000 lb-er and modify the blast radius
and other damage lines,or even a 500 lb-er and do the same. I can get 14 1000 lbs
on board the B-17. I'm taking out 6 to 7 ships at a time, and really nailing yards
and factories. Of course they're rebuilding during the weeks your not attacking
on the airfields,factories and railyards.
