Can I move my ETO install to another drive safely?

Hi I was wondering if it is possible to move my ETO install from c:\program files\microsoft games to another drive and if there was any precautions I need to take. I'm running out of space on my main hard drive. Thanks!

Gidday,
I always have my installs on another drive. It is a hangover from when computers were low spec - cfs3 ran better when not on the windows/system drive. I have all my installs on a SSD drive D. No particular issues - am on Win 10 now. Simply use multicfs3 to set up the folders for each install (MAW, BoB, PTO and ETO plus a stock install for me)

Thanks I'll give that a try. Also WOW! I just noticed it was because the d3d8.log from ankor's shaders somehow got up to 16GB in nearly 3 days!

Your drive has to be an SSD if it is just an external usb drive the game will skip like hell unless you have USB 3.0..

For many years, my older XP machine has had my CFS3 installs on a external WD Passport drive, just have to set up the multicfs3 and the proper pathways for the .BAT files in the various expansions, and there should be No problems.
:encouragement:

Whether you're moving an existing ETO installation (cut/paste or move folder) or reinstalling ETO from scratch on another drive you'll have some editing to do with the era swap and other batch files. Follow the instructions. For moving an existing installation you'll also need to run MultiCFS3 for anything to work properly.
