Canopy trouble

Hi all,
Recently Alphasim Revised there freeware section and with it released an aircraft I have been trying to get my grubby little mittz on for an age there Lightning F6 for CFS2 and FS02 I've had the old CFS2 F.3 and F.1 running in FS9 for ages with no trouble and downloaded the F.6 to add to the collection. just one slight snag! the canopy doesn't seem to show up! does anybody have a fix for this???? I believe there must be one somewhere because the canopy on the F.3 show's (Although I doesn't open but I can live with that). If anybody can direct me to anything by way of a fix I'd appreciate it.

Regards,

The canopy on the F.6 is way old school. When the engine is off, the canopy is displayed in an open position. When you start the engine....the canopy closes. The canopy is not animated in the manner we are used to....the open canopy is one distinct part and the closed canopy is another distinct part. FS2004 does not recognize the call on the closed canopy part...thus it does not display. The only way to "fix" this is to somehow get the model back into Gmax or FSDS and totally update the source code and modeling and export an entirely new FS2004 compliant model.

Just to be sure I understand are you saying it is NOT possible to import the model into Gmax????

There is a possible way to get the model into Gmax....I have successfully pulled a few models into Gmax...but once there, I have absolutely no clue what to do. I can stare at the 3D model until my eyebrows grow to 3 feet in length and not one thing about the model changes. I can spin the model round and round and round....but again nothing changes on the model.

Not sure if this particular model can be gotten into Gmax...will give it a try.
