Can't Save or load Scenarios in P3D v3.2

Crusader

SOH-CM-2022
I posted this in a couple of other different forums so hopefully a fix will be found . Anyone else experienced this ? :

I can't load a previously saved flight or save a new scenario . I get a CTD . I did have this problem back in 3.0 and found that I had added a folder(containing some AI aircraft) to my simobjects.cfg file and when I deleted it from the simobjects.cfg file my loading and saving scenarios problem was gone . In 3.2 the only thing I have added to the simobjects.cfg was My Traffic and it as worked fine until recently . I deleted the Prepar3D.cfg and it regenerated another but still unable to save or load Scenarios . I'm at a loss now . Hoping someone will come up with a solution . In the meantime if I find anything that works I'll pass it on . I can load up different aircraft and change airports locations each time I fire up P3D v3.2 , I just can't save a new scenario or load previously saved one .:banghead:

I have never had this problem in any Sim, from FSX to my current P3D_V3.2, so I'm hard pressed to find a reason for what you describe. I also have a SimObjects.cfg file that includes many additional folders as I separate the various types of aircraft rather than lumping them all into the "Airplanes" folder. It hasn't had any affect on my ability to load or save "Flights/Scenarios".

Thanks Ed for the reply . I love flightsiming but it does have its headaches .:untroubled: I was just wondering if I reinstalled just the Client portion of P3D v3.2 if it might straighten it out . It's worth a try I guess . Just installing the Client would retain the ORBX stuff an the AC I have loaded so far , right ?

Rich

That is correct Rich. Just make sure you uninstall the client first using the control panel/programs and then reinstall. You will have to activate again on line.

I had the same problem back with v3.0. Turned out to be an add-on AI aircraft with a bad entry in the aircraft.cfg. The aircraft in question wasn't even used in any AI flightplans. A right pain to track down.

Thanks Ed , Dimus and Dave for all your imput . Dave , it actually turned out to be simular to what you described . I had a AI AC in my SimObjects folder (ACG B24 AI) that was not associated with any traffic file . How I ended up putting it in there , who knows:dizzy:anyway , all is fine now . I took Ed's advice and made some AI folders and added them to my simobjects.cfg file and I am now off to the wild blue yonder . :running: Be careful what you put in the SimObjects folder , it's very picky !

Thanks again to all ,

Rich
