Can't think of an airline

SOH-CM-2014
I was trying to remember one from the 80's give or take. They were painted bright all-over solid colors, including the tail I think. The airline name was in fat puffy contrasting letters starting about the boarding door and going back to the wing and were tilted from level. The closest I could come up with was Braniff, but the ones I found pictures of had different tail colors and the lettering was horizontal. Unless they went through a short livery phase that matches what I described.

Only one that came close was this box image.

There was an English airline that flew DC-10s or L-1011s. Wasn't their name "Court?" They had aircraft painted in bright colors on the fuselage.

I would have known it around the northeast US as I was in the Boston area for many years. Gonna keep looking.

Braniff went thru more names and schemes than most pilots have phone numbers...

However the box art you show is from the 1980's Braniff International AIRWAYS phase and was known as the "ultra" scheme. It had the name in block and in script and came in a multitude of colours ( but tamer than the older ones)

Many financial ups-and-downs but otherwise healthy... one should always take Braniff you're constipated...

:running:

I'm kind of thinking it probably was Braniff. I found some of those pics too when I dug into it's history and found I must have been paying attention for a few months when they did those liveries. Haven't found those particular ones for FS though.

Just pulled out an old ticket yesterday from Braniff Airlines. I was heading back to Shepard AFB from O'hare back in 1982.
