Captain Sim B707

I managed to get the Captain Sim 707 in their recent sale and after waiting several days and a couple of emails finally got it downloaded.:jump:

Now after numerous tries , with the same result , I can't get it installed because I keep getting an 'Error 12. Internal Server Error' notice.

It took a while over the sale period and several days following to be able to log into the customer pages but I can't find anywhere to be able to contact Support to find a solution to this issue.

There was a Notam out in the support pages saying they were away over the holiday period and back on the 5th.

Currently I get this in the support page .....

NOTAM 291208: At times some services may be temporary unavailable.
If so, please try back later. We are sorry for the temporary inconvenience.

If you do not receive our email...

Got boxed (CD/DVD) product?

I still can't get the 707 installed and can't get hold of anyone to find a solution .

Can anyone help please ?

Pete.

Perhaps a dumb question, but when you attempt to install, are you changing the target location? I've tried to install Capt Sim aircraft into locations other than specified in the installer, ie BOB 3, and it wouldn't do it. I had to install exactly the way CS 'insisted' and change the file names later.

Other than that, I'm at a loss.

Pete,

Captain Sim changed servers or some thing like that and you have to find a file to install so that it looks up your key so that you can continue to install the product. All have to look around my files and see if I have it some where. Hope this helps.

Thanks Guys for your replies.

Bob, I can't even get that far into the install process. I get the error message when I add my order number key.

Travis , Thanks , I've sent you an email.

Finally I have success :jump::jump:

After a huge lesson in patience and determination I managed to navigate my way around the Captain Sim web site.:applause:

Even after an email from Captain Sim suggesting turning off my firewall etc , the little beasty still wouldn't install.

Then I found a way to generate a key for an off line installation

Needless to say I've learnt some new things over these past couple of weeks :jump::jump:

Anyway here she is .......

Pete.

Pete,

Do you remember where on the website you found the way to generate the offline key? I'd like to re-install my MiG-21UM but am having difficulties.

From that whistling smiley, I'm guessing that the "offline key" is something best discussed in private.:monkies:

It's legit as it's in their help pages for the B707 ....

5. Q: Manual Offline activation. My computer is not connected to Internet, how to install?

Cool! Good to see that they realize not everyone's FS rig is connected to the rest of the web!

Although I was connected to the internet for some reason I just couldn't get the installer to work.

Thought it might have been because I have a Vista OS, but I also tried on my wife's Laptop which has Windows XP.

So been able to generate a key for the install was a big plus. :applause:

Still reckon it's a hard web site to navigate around, but that could just be my way of thinking ......

F-104 problems

I've conducted a thorough review of everything I could find re: installing the CS F-104 on my machine. Still can't find anything that could work, though. I'm connected to the internet, but I can't even get as far as the choice of installation. The 10-digit order number they've given me just isn't being recognized, and once you type it in, it says "redis," which when you click on it just causes the entire process to terminate and you're back at your original screen. I've tried going to the CS website but no luck with anything they've sent me - in fact all communication is "circular" in that it just tells you to do things you've already tried, and no living person from CS has ever sent me an email. What's next???

Reinstalling the Cpt. Sim 707 after getting the order number from them. All seems to go well until just about done when my virus checker blocks something called "mal/behav-102". Think it has something to do with the manual. Not wanting to take a chance I blocked it and so the install stopped. Anyone know what this is and should I except it?
Thanks
Bob

Same problems with the F104 and the Mig21. Can't get there from here??:help:

I get that "redis" thing also when trying to reinstall the F-104. Have problems with the reinstall of the 707 as said before.
