Hi, I can't get the JATO to fire in the Captainsim C-130T and it turns out its missing from the aircraft.cfg [smoke system] section and I was wondering if somebody had the right position in the aircraft.cfg that they could give me? This is all mine has, its missing the JATO effects.
[smokesystem]
smoke.0=-8,-34, 0, cs130_smoke
smoke.1=-9,-17, 0, cs130_smoke
smoke.2=-9, 17, 0, cs130_smoke
smoke.3=-8, 34, 0, cs130_smoke
all the JATO is supposed to be right here
Also my AC-130 is missing the 105mm shell effect
[lights] ; X, Z, Y
light.0 = 3, -14.93, -17.26, -11.20, cs130_gun105
light.1 = 6, 3.0, -8.10, -15.50, cs130_taxi //right
light.2 = 6, 3.0, 8.10, -15.50, cs130_taxi //left
light.3 = 7, 6.00, 18.7, -7.4, cs130_landing //right1
light.4 = 7, 9.00, 23.90, -4.00, cs130_landing //right2
light.5 = 5, 6.00, -18.4, -7.4, cs130_landing //left1
light.6 = 5, 9.00, -23.90, -4.00, cs130_landing //left2
light.7 = 8, 9, 14.50, -2.50, cs130_edge2 //right
light.8 = 8, 9, -14.50, -2.50, cs130_edge2 //left
light.9 =4, 33.00, 0.00, -6.00, cs130_vcgr
light.10 =4, 27.00, -1.00, -5.00, cs130_vcgr
light.11 = 10, 19.91, -9.60, -12.9, cs130_gun20
light.12 = 10, 17.43, -9.60, -12.9, cs130_gun20
light.13 = 9, -8.76, -11.99, -14.50, cs130_gun40
It is supposed to be on this line, so if you have that position, can I have it? Thanks!

You should contact CS via their online customer forum. I'll bet they provide you with exactly what you need!

I have tried their support page and the direct me to just flight who I bought it from and then just flight directs me back to captainsim and it is a mess so that is why I came here.
Neither company could answer my question.

goshawk..

There ARE no lines in the aircraft.cfg for the JATO aircraft. Are you activating the JATO's via the ATO panel? You have to flick the cover up.. then the switch underneath then hit the FIRE button on the panel.

Re the guns.. my entry for the Spectre version look like yours (except they're all on their own lines.. not mashed up like in your post). There are 3 fx files in the effects folder which correspond to those entries in the cfg. Are you saying you don't have the effects files?

EDIT: I see your cfg now unscrambled:) FX files corresponding to JATO (though not in the cfg) are cs130_ato.fx and cs130_ato_smoke.fx and for the guns are as you have listed.. cs130_gun20.fx, cs130_gun40.fx and cs130_gun105.fx. All these should be in your Effects folder:)

The CS C-130T's Jato attachments are baked into the model. The effects that are called: cs130_ato and cs130_ato_smoke ...Don

Hope you're not missing the point mate. The JATO effects are modelled (as confirmed by the screenshot from MCX above) so you don't 'need' any positional information for them. Where the JATO pipes are is where the effects are. As for the gun fx positions.. they're given in the lighting section you posted;)

The reason I was trying to find the positions was because the JATO effects did not look like JATO and droped my fps to 4, and when I tried to put some positions I got on another forum they looked great but they were too low on the aircraft.

OK.. what you could do is this. Move the CS effect for the JATO to a safe place then make a copy of the fx files you like and rename them as the CS files. It may be trial and error as there are 2 files.. one for the ATO effect and one for the smoke. If you find a good combination, post your findings as I don't think the CS effects look particularly good;)
