Carenado G1000 VC Gauge Resolution - Distortion

Greetings,

This pertains to Prepar3D Version 4.5 but probably counts for v5 as well. I'm wondering if anyone has any input on how to boost the G1000 LCD gauge resolution in the virtual cockpit of Carenado's various glass-panel aircraft, without encountering the resulting distortion in the screenshot below (Caravan EX in the example). I wasn't happy with a 1024 x 1024 pixel resolution that is included by default. I tried bumping this to 1280 x 1280 (also tried 2048) in the panel.cfg (pixel_size), and also tried globally using the P3D.cfg [Panels] edit, with the same results.

I ensured that the HIGH_LOD=1 setting is set both in P3D options and in the P3D.cfg, so that's not a factor.

In any other aircraft I've encountered that's not Carenado or Alabeo, I can increase glass-gauge resolution just fine. It seems to be an issue with Carenado/Alabeo gauge rendering. Any suggestions?
Thank you,

Sean K.

Sean, juust as a matter of interest, what screen res are you running?
I'm running at 3840x2160@144hz, previously on an older monitor at 2560x1440@120hz and never noticed anything like your problem.
:indecisiveness:

If this is the ones running their SVS system go to the gauges folder and theres a folder called Carenado_G1000_SVS, in there is a file called Carenado_G1000_SVS_config.exe, run it and you can set the quality in that.

Thanks. This doesn’t pertain to the also problematic SVS system unfortunately. I run at 59hz on a 2560 x 1440 but again, I don’t have this problem with the default G1000 in the Mooney, or other glass panels. Wombat, are you saying that you can increase the gauge resolution beyond 1024x1024 without problems?

EDIT: Just reinstalled the old Cargomaster version with the analogue VC and will stick with that for now to do some cargo hops. Carenado got back to me and basically said they are no longer supporting older products, so I’m out of luck.
