Carrier Ops?

I was flying from Nantucket to Philadelphia in a Cessna 310 and as I was off the coast near Islip I noticed what I thought was an Oil Platform, but as I got closer I realized it was an Aircraft Carrier and a rather detailed one at that. As you can see in the image, it has a full compliment of Choppers, Fighters and Transports. The wires and brake system are 3D, the aircraft are nicely detailed, deck hands are 3D and they have an aircraft animated to be coming up from the hangar deck, as well as a Blackhawk hovering off the fantail.

I decided to get a closer look and so with full flaps and engine maxed I was able to settle onto the deck at around stall speed and stop. Apparently it is setup to respond to aircraft within a certain range because while on final I was receiving corrections to keep me on track and "call the ball". Unfortunately I didn't get any shots from the deck, but it was impressive.
 
I experienced a similar situation flying from TNCS (island of Saba) to TNCE (island of Sint Eustatius) with the default Cessna 172. Landing the plane was easy (as long as I ignored the LSO)!
 
According to a Youtube video, the carrier even reacts to wave height by pitching and rolling.



Not sure how many carrier-capable planes there are for XP11. I'm counting the default F-4B, a payware F/A-18F and a few older freeware models.

There were other ships in that area, but now that I think about it they may have been a Battleship escort given the way they were positioned outside the Carrier. I never flew to any of them, but now that I have a general position I may investigate more.

Initially I thought it was static even though it showed a wake fore and aft, but once I got close to landing it was obvious that it was moving.
 
Just found a carrier by chance last night up around the north of Scotland, somewhere between Wick and Kirkwall. I say by chance, but actually I opened the XP11 map (m key) and there was the carrier, represented by a symbol half the size of Scotland!. Anyway, I headed towards it and touched down in the S550 Citation II. Had a look around, then took off again. The carriers are nicely done.
 
The only carrier I'v seen so far was sailing through the Solent between Southampton and the Isle of White (Orbx True Earth GB South)
When I tried landing on it I went straight through it :( I managed to get the power back on and climb before ditching thankfully.

The default carriers do indeed react to waves. Turn the wave sizes up and it makes a landing a rather busy experience! After sitting on the deck for a few minutes watching the horizon roll around, I was feeling sea sick!!

I've previously seen a group of 3-4 ships in that location, one big carrier with a ski-ramp deck, and a smaller one similarly styled. They didn't look as well-modelled or authentic as the one in Falcon's op.

But tonight, I overflew a nice-looking carrier in the Bristol Channel. It had a big '68' on the side, which google tells me is USS Nimitz!
