Carriers and Seaplanes?

Hi, I am completely new to this website and totally clueless about addons.
Well I was pondering, can carriers be added to CFS3? and what seaplanes can be added on to the game?

:kilroy:Neoupa2002, hello and welcome.

Yes, there are working aircraft carriers available, and seaplanes, too. A number of these are available here at SOH.

The standalone, add-on games ETO, PTO, and MAW all have both, and I highly recommend all three games. They each use CFS3 as a basis, but create new games separate from CFS3.

I believe that are also currently a Short Sunderland and a PBY Catalina in the works, but I don't have a clue as to when they'll be released.

Well, does anyone know how to get the carriers into CFS3? I have a stock version with a few 4 engined aircraft and NGNG addons.
 
Just so you know when taking off and landing on the carriers the flight deck will be at sea level so don't think anything is wrong when that happens.:kilroy:

Hi Neoupa,

That addon gives you 5 individual carriers (including the Enterprise)

You want to install the version with the dropping deck.

you will then need to make a mission that calls on the carrier so you can land and take off from it.

or you can grab the ETO addon or the PTO addon and install them. you 'll get your carriers and so much more!!!

see sticky threads at the top of the CFS3 forum for where and how to get the ETO or PTO

Can someone tell me where all the files go for the ship and can someone provide the link for where to download the mission? The readme file is uncomprehendable. Only tells whats inside the .zip file, not how to install it.

I am so new to this...sorry about that.

Hi N,

PM me your email and I will send through a set of carriers ready to drop into your ship folder, and I'll see if I can knock up a mission for you to test them in. I'll include an explination of where to put teh files as well.

are you running stock CFS3? or any of the complete addon sets?
