A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Scenery Add-Ons

Description: This is a package of 14 Dutch airfields and seaplane bases as they appeared at the time of the German invasion in May 1940.

Cees Donker has kindly given permission for conversion of his very authentic scenery for CFS2 use.

Cees originally constructed Bergen, Buiksloot, De Mok, De Vlijt, Ockenburg, Ruygenhoek, Schellingwoude, Valkenburg (Katwijk), Waalhaven, and Ypenburg for FS2004. Schiphol was made for FSX, and De Kooy for CFS2.

Kevin Driver has adapted these airfields for CFS2 with modified or new background bitmaps and destructible GSL objects for
the majority of them. In addition, De Zilk, Haamstede and Middenmeer have been built. De Mok, De Vlijt and Schellingwoude
are non-GSL bases. The non-GSL Koolhoven factory at Waalhaven is also included.

This project could not have been completed without the help of Robert Sprackland (“Robert John”) and Allen Downey (“Allen”).
They are responsible for nearly all of the GSL objects found in Cees Donker’s Airfield Buildings Library being made destructible.

These airfields are designed to compliment Joachim (“Achim”) Schmidt’s Dutch airfields and Andrew (“Rami”) Talbot’s urban and
ports GSL scenery for the Netherlands.

Thank you gentlemen! :applause::applause::applause: I'll bet Rami will make good use of these in his upcoming campaign. :wiggle:

Greg,

Sorry to have to break it to you, but I've had these for a while now, we were just waiting for the materials to be moved over from the Free Flight Site to SOH for the package to be uploaded.

They've been integrated fully into the Battle of France; I would not have been able to do the Dutch campaign without them.

Kevin and Cees,

Many thanks for all the time and energy you spent making and converting these airfields in their original form and for their use in CFS2.

Thanks Chaps - you're welcome!

Here are a few more shots.

Good morning,

Just a heads up for those who have already downloaded this package...

Note: This package has been updated on 12 January, 2020 to include an updated .bgl for De Vlijt airfield that removed FS 2004 trees which were causing mission object warnings in CFS2.

I have attached the relevant file here for those who do not want to download the entire package again.

At De Vlijt, I am seeing one alert that I can't make heads or tails of, and I'm seeing black boxes where I could be seeing objects. As far as I know I have all of the objects that the read me calls for (though I doubt it). What am I missing?

It's CD and KD Netherlands, i.e. Cees Donker so not mine. However a detailed list of required objects is included in the download. The SOH addresses will have changed with the server move but you should have no trouble searching and finding them in the Resources section. Everything was moved successfully. From the screenies, you are missing both bgls and bmps that you need.

Hi Chaps,

Try downloading the latest version of this package. I recently updated the hyperlinks to suit the new library, although there are no changes to the BGLs and BMPs.
