There was a report on Fox news page of a Chinese man killed when his cell phone exploded next to his head. Reportedly, he had changed batteries to a charged one and the phone spontaneously blew up.
Assuming the battery was likely a ni/cad rechargeable, how would this be possible. Ni/cad batteries have no explosive properties or potential to my knowledge.
Anybody know if such a thing is possible ?
(of course, this could all be bogus, as the report came from China. . )
