• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Anywhere one could find out how to create more .exe icons for various theatres in addition to the 2004 set, .i.e, Dutch, Greek, free France, etc. ?
I am no painter but thought there must be some program to accomplish this.

I have used XN Resource Editor. I use it so rarely that I forget how to use it but it dose make icons and is free. You can slo use it to change the icons stored in the .exe it self but you would prob be better off just making icons to use with shortcuts.

https://sourceforge.net/projects/xnreseditpe/

Also on XP and prob newer you can make a 32x32 .bmp and save it. Than change the file extension from bmp to ico. Than have your shortcut use it.

Here is a basic walkthrough for Icons. Not sure how to make the .exe have the image But here is how for shortcuts.

Take an image, resize it to 128x128. Save it in .gif format. it works the best I believe. Give the name of the .exe you plan on using it for. Then change the name.gif to name.ico. There you have it, one Icon. To use it just right click on the .exe shortcut. Under properties select change Icon. You may have to browse for it. Now your shortcut will use that image.
