To all,

With permission graciously given by Gary Burns, (gary20) I have uploaded a manual install package for the BoB airfields, which will eliminate the use of the auto-installer that has befuddled many a CFS2 user. All of the airfields in the package have been included, including the additional airfield of Gravesend.

(This is something that I've wanted to do for a LONG time, lord knows how many threads have been started by users over the years...:banghead:)

The cliffs of Dover have been included in their original form. If anyone can do a better version of them, let me know and the package can be altered.

Here is the link: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/local_links.php?catid=45&linkid=2668

Let me reiterate that there is nothing new in this airfield package, it just provides a manual way to install the bases. All needed files for this airfield package are included, so no additional files are necessary.

And, if the instructions are in any way unclear, please do not hesitate to ask. The downloads in the new library can be altered quickly and easily. :jump:

Enjoy! :wavey:

Excellent

Very nice, Rami. That'll make things much better, at least for one as challenged as myself. Dare I ask about Woolston? Is that included with the Gravesend?

Alpha_1,

Woolston is in Achim's package. :jump:

CORRECTION: Alpha_1...it occurred to me that you're thinking about Martin Wright. I would advise not using those early GSL bases anymore by Martin Wright, because there are viable alternatives everywhere else.

That was one of my problems, when installing the ETO stuff. Very frustrating, thanks, once again.:salute::ernae:

That will make it better because I found the auto install plays havoc with the gsl file not opening for reading when trying to add to it. So I broke cfs2Bob down and done my own manual install.
The gsl file now opens for reading every time I add to the gsl file through mission builder.
Thank you.
