CFS2 command line switches and environment variables

Hi all,

this has probably been asked before, apologies if it has been dealt with previously and I just haven't been able to find it.

1) Does anyone know of a list of all the CSF2 command line switches? The only ones I know of are:

cfs2.exe /BUILDER:
cs2.exe /CFG:

I know that /CFG: can be followed with the name of a .cfg file, presumably then the /BUILDER: can be followed with some file name?

2) Are there any known environment variables that can be set for CFS2?

No need to apologise at all!

I've never seen this question and it's a good one, I'd be interested if there are any others?

Be good if there were some useful unknowns or 'easter eggs' in there!

/CFG[:filename]
/ShowLogo
/STN:filename
/MIS:filename
/ZoneLaunch

You need be careful with the /CFG switch. If you use just /CFG, i.e. with no file name, then your existing config file will be deleted. There's also a /DEBUG switch, but it's only related to the ZoneLaunch switch in CFS2.

Interesting, I did a brand new install of CFS2 and don't have a config file at all. Could I have messed this up like what cfsops is suggesting in an earlier install and then didn't get it all deleted prior to my new install? Any ideas?

The cfs2.cfg file is created the first time you run/shutdown the app. If you do a clean install, no, there won't be one there. Once you run and shut down, it gets saved, (to the same directory that holds the cfs2.exe binary).
 
On my clean install I have been flying several missions and been playing the campaign for several weeks now, however no cfs2.cfg file appears in the directory. Not sure why. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks cfsops. How did you find these out? I've tried things like "cfs2.exe /?" with no joy. Did you find the switches documented somewhere, or was it trial and error?

I had found them many years ago while working on some of my free stuff. As far as I'm aware, they were not documented, (though some may have been).
