CFS2 Francophone aircraft and skins from Dombral!

First, thank you very much for these beatiful skins!
I´ve started installing them, and the DB-7s, the Martins and the LeOs look great!

However, I have a problem with the textures for the Hawk 75. They don´t seem to fit the FDG P-36.
I looked into the texture folders of the aircraft that I already have, and then into the new ones.
The files "P-36_d" and "P-36_t" are there in both folders, but look different. Also, in the new texture folder, there are two files, "P-36wings_d" and "P-36wings_t" that are not present in the original texture folder.
Question: Are you using a different model for the P-36 than the original?

I´d like to use these skins in my French P-36 campaign, so I hope I can get them to work somehow.

It's probably the older Gramps' model

Hi Skylane,

I haven't tried this new repaint yet and I might be wrong, but judging from a careful look at the P-36 screenshot posted by Dombral, it seems to be the earlier Gramps' model, rather than the later donationware P-36.

Although the description above states:

"Description: This skins are for the Curtiss H75A originally by Dang Westfall."

it's the shape of her spinner stub that rings a bell to me. I have to admit it's also the first time I hear of such designer name, or I cannot remember seeing it before right now.

I'll check in my archived downloads.

Cheers!

Skylane and Kelti.....

The name Westfall was new to me too. However, I find I have a zip entitled "Gramps-KM_P-36mc". Contained in the AC file is the "Original Credits" notes. The following reference is made to a "Doug Westfall".

Hope this helps......

...."
Credits and Thankyou's and What happened....

The Curtiss P-36A Hawk model was originally created by Doug Westfall (Karbon)in FSDS.....then converted to G-Max, modified, and detailed, by Anthony Sullenger (Gramps), who also painted textures for the two Pearl Harbour models (1rst Pursuit Squadron, natural aluminum finish/47th Pursuit Squadron, olive drab)"

...also.....

"Copyright Imformation:

This aircraft model is the copyrighted property of Doug Westfall and Anthony Sullenger. Flight Model modifications on a theme by Microsoft are the creative declaration of James Banks."

Thanks, Kelti and Worthless!

You are right, the skins are for the other P-36. I found it at Simviation.

skins for P36

vous avez raison mais en fait le model est un H75A2 français avec une antenne radio et un armement différent on le trouvais sur simviation.

I am sorry I was right......

Very nice, indeed but..........

from my point of view, please Dombral forgive me you are not responsible for it, this is one of the P-36 models with the most screwed up prop disc I've ever encountered! :cower: :hopelessness:

I've never been able to fix it either! :dread:

Cheers!
