CFS2 HUD Control Surfaces Indicator Bug Fix and Autopilot/Cowl Flaps/Dive Brakes/Elevator Trim/Heading Indicators

hp....from one dummy to another...I assume it's the same as in the previous HUD by ELE...(V3 HUD for Combat Flight Simulator 2 by ELE)...

ELE's install instructions are...

" Installation: put the gau files in your GAUGES folder in the parent CFS2 folder, put the default_panel.cfg file in your parent CFS2 folder, back these files up first if you prefer. Or just overwrite when asked. your call, works fine on my lowly rig."

THIS WORKED FOR ME THE LAST TIME I DID THIS....gww

worthless
I'm still a dummy. So I got the gauges in the parent cfs 2 file ( my case it is Early PTO install). Now where the heck does the panel file go? parent cfs2.cfg( early PTO install) :banghead:

It's just a cfg. file called the "default panel". It's in the main "Combat Flight Simulator 2" root folder. I usually backup the current file and paste the new file in to replace it.

Worthless
Thanks. Seems simple enough. Overlooked it it the root folder.I tried it a couple of times and it never showed, only the original. I will take another look this weekend.

Ok. Let me know how it does. I haven't replaced my current HUD at present as I am satisfied the the Hud V3 by ELE. Still, I'm sure I'll give it a try soon.

Not treading on Rich's toes, as his version is more in depth, but here is HUD V3 a simpler version.

Cheers

Thanks Shessi. Looks like this would work better. In combat sometimes " I don't know come here from sickem", as we say in Oklahoma.:biggrin-new: regarding compass reading, mostly.:wavey:
