One of you must host the game by setting it up under the Multiplayer menu. Then you send the other player your IP Address, which he will type into the blank for the game he wants to join. That's it....you're in. :ernae:

Wlan Connection Problems

Hi TR,
thank you for taking part in this troubleshooting.
That's what we tried the last couple of hours.
From vista to vista it was not possible to see the session on the guest computer.
Now our old xp desktop is the host. Now I am able to see the session offered
on my vista computer.
But I am not able to participate in the game. Even in xp compatibility mode it is not possible.
Cheers

My nephew is staying with me for a while, and I got him into CFS2 a bit...and we have been flying on a local network...system to system. One sure fire stopper is fire wall....we both have to take our fire walls down to connect to each other's system. Once we drop our fire wall, after unhooking from the internet, we can hook up and fly together.

I think....

...your problem is in your firewall settings, not necessarily a problem with Vista. We had the same issues several weeks ago when setting up a game for five of us. I had two firewalls running and had to grant CFS2 specific permission for 2-way access to the net in my wireless network firewall to get it working. Then everything was hunky dory.

Sorry I can't help further. :isadizzy:

Spidermike,

Welcome to the basement and the fold. Whatever you need, you can usually find it here. Check out the library for some great CFS 2 aeroplanes and other stuff to make the sim a hundred times more enjoyable.

What a great idea to fly CFS 2 with your son. I hope you get it running OK.

I'm kinda new to this, used to fly online when the ms "zone" was still up and running, that was easy !! What's the easiest way to fly cfs2 online multiplayer?
thanks guys
