CFS3 .air files (max design speed)

Hey everyone. I'm new here.
I've got a quick question.
I downloaded the CFS3 Aircraft and Vehicle SDK, and made an airplane. I based it on a spitfire, beefed up the engine, and now the max speed is over 700 mph. The problem is that the "max design speed" is somewhere in the .air file, and I can't find any program to edit it.

Is there a tool to edit the .air files, or does someone know the addresses of the max speed @ altitude values?

thanks

Wow. That was a really fast response.
Thank you for the links.

If you want actual aircraft performance data, try http://www.wwiiaircraftperformance.org

There are other .air editors. Jerry Beckwith's Flight Dynamics Workbook is free, but needs MS Excel to run it. AirWrench, also by Jerry, costs the princely sum of 20 US dollars. Both of these work with CFS3 air files, amongst others and are from www.mudpond.org. There's also AAM, but you'll need to look for that: afaik it's no longer sold or supported and I don't know if it covers CFS3 .air files

edit: AAM is freeware and is for FS2002. Duh.
