CFS3 crashes after adding AVHistory B17 addon

Hi, i downloaded the AVHistory B17 addon but after selecting it in the game menu it just crashes. The readme said to get the sounds and gun files, I did the sound ok, but the gun pack was a different story. For example, it said to copy some files to a "flight" folder in CFS3, but no such folder existed. Same case for the other files too, only the sound wav files were successful. The aircraft still crashes CFS3 and I don't know what to do. Appreciate any help
 
First of all:

I had the same issue with Avhistory aircraft. Get all the packs from the site. You need the Avhistory Weapons Pack, the FX textures pack, and all the guns and effects from the site.

You have to place all of the Weapons from the Weapons pack into the weapons folder in the CFS3 main folder adding them along with all of your stock weapons. Then add the guns and effects to their respective packs like so.

The flight folder you mentioned must be the aircraft folder, because you're right, no such folder exists in CFS3.

Once you did this, place the B-17 into the CFS3 aircraft folder and before you play the game go back to Avhistory and then run the BDP nuker program which will activate all of the weapons, guns and effects along with your aircraft. Without these all of the Avhistory aircraft will crash your sim because they need these files to function properly.

Anything else Don't be afraid to ask for help!

**UPDATE** The planes load up fine and I was able to fly them. However, at one point or another in the game, it crashes like it did before. You mentioned something about effects, The other things you mentioned were in one pack, but are the effects a separate pack and could they be causing CFS3 to crash?
