I am a little confused as to how to install the following:

Are you supposed to have two separate CFS3 installs (One Firepower and one ETO both patched to the required standard) and then run it?
Thanks,
Jack
Jackedwardmorris, two, or more, separate installs, yes, but not the way you think.
You need a clean, unmodded, fully patched (3.1 and 3.1a) vanilla install of CFS3 to install ETO. PLEASE DO NOT INSTALL ETO ON TOP OF FIREPOWER INSTALL!!!!! This was never tested, and probably will not work properly. Also, do not make a FirePower install on top of ETO. as you will wreck many of ETO's great additions.
Here's a way to handle putting the ETO FirePower USAAF Heavy Bombers conversion package into ETO without major problems.
I am assuming you already have a vanilla CFS3 install and a complete ETO 1.0 updated to 1.20 install. ETO must be updated to 1.20 before installing the ETO FirePower USAAF Heavy Bombers conversion package.
1. Rename your Combat Flight Simulator 3 main game folder. You only need to add one character to the existing name of the folder. Do the same to the Combat Flight Simulator 3.0 folders found in C:\Documents and Settings\User Name (Your Name)\Application Data\Microsoft and in C:\Documents and Settings\Kasey\My Documents if you are an XP user. In Vista, these two folders would be found in C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft and C:\Users\\Documents, I believe. Make sure to save your desktop icon(s) for CFS3 by placing them in a folder on your desktop, or someplace else that is safe.
2. Re-install CFS3 normally, then update it (3.1 and 3.1a), but do not start it yet. After this one has been installed, install Firepower, preferably Version 1.08. Again, do not start it yet. Look inside your existing ETO install for a file named Multicfs3.exe. Copy, do not cut, and paste it into your new Combat Flight Simulator 3 main game folder. Run the MultiCFS3.exe that is now in your new install and use it to rename the install, reflecting that it contains FirePower. Delete the new desktop CFS3 icon. Go into Program Files and rename this new main game folder to reflect that it is Firepower. Go into this newly renamed main game folder and look for cfs3.exe, and send it to the desktop as a shortcut. Once it's out on the desktop, rename it to reflect that it is for Firepower. Now, it's safe to start it. Two brand new folders will be created by the new install and the Multicfs3.exe in the Application Data/Microsoft and My Documents folders. If you are using Vista, they will be in the locations I have mentioned above.
Note: You can also get the Multicfs3.exe here:

3. Go back into your main game folder and rename your first Combat Flight Simulator 3 main game folder back the way it was before you added one character to it. Now, do the same to the two original COmbat Flight Simulator 3.0 folders in Application Data/Microsoft and My Documents. The Vista locations are the same as above for this, too.
Now you have three installs: One CFS3 vanilla, One Firepower, and one CFS3 ETO Expansion.
4. Copy these four folders from your Firepower install's aircraft folder into your CFS3 ETO Expansion install's aircraft folder: B_17_share, b_17f, B_17G, and B_24J. After you have done this, make sure to start ETO in Era 1 and exit, then set the ETO Spawn Selector to 1.
Note: At this point, before installing FirePower_USAAF_Heavy_Bombers_2eto.exe, be sure to backup the 1944_missions folder, 1945_missions folder, spawns folder, and the CFS3 ETO Expansion BDP Zapper.exe from the CFS3 ETO Expansion main game folder to a safe place. This is because if you ever run the Fire Power USAAF Heavy Bombers Uninstall.exe, it will delete these four items.
5. Now install the FirePower_USAAF_Heavy_Bombers_2eto.exe normally, after following the installation instructions.
Now you'll be good to go.:d
