CFS3 JB Scenery V3 activation?

Hello, I have installed these files (all) but I do not understand if I need to do something to activate it or not ? The readme says "Also inside the assets folder is a new compositescenerybudgets.xml which is needed for the lod's to display correctly"

To I need to put this .xml some where?

Hi Emile,
check that you have the compositescenerybudgets.xml for JB scenery located in your Assets folder. Make sure you only have one copy in the Assets folder or any of the subfolders. Then this .xml file will override the stock compositescenerybudgets.xml file, which is located in one of the terrdata.zip files.

A feature of cfs3 is that files that you put in the assets folder will be used in preference for files of the same name/function that are located elsewhere in the install. At least thats how I understand it....Seems to apply to files in the terrain folders at least.

Thanks for this information,

I done what you recommend.

My next question concerns the "hires dds" : are they also needed in the assets or some where else? see attached screen : this is what I have done . As there is no explanation concerning the placement of the 1,2,3 and 4 folders I did place them in the higres dds folder and also the contents of these folders......

what files are in folders 1,2,3,4?
The basic rule of thumb is to ensure that you do not have any duplicate names for texture files in your assets folder or any of its sub-folders. So choose between high res or lo res textures. Wherever the .dds texture files go in the Assets folder, is simply filing. The main thing is to avoid duplicate file names within the Assets folder pathway, so if you find any you need to choose which texture you prefer.

Emile....I have installed the JB Scenery files....and I think the answer you are looking for is that you copy all of the files in floders 1 thru 4 and paste them to the new High Res DDS folder in your assets folder.....

Hi, 1 more question: can it be installed with positive results in MAW and other ones like PTO or Korean?
