CFS3 PTO Solomons Campaign and Firepower

This is my first post

I've had PTO Solomons for three years but i have some problems

when i open campaign it says it cannot find it

for the missions labeled FP or Firepower i'm wondering i have firepower installed but i don't which aircraft i put in the aircraft folder and plus there isn't a PB4Y-1 even though it's required for one of the FP missons

hi AP10, there is no working campaign for PTO Solomons. The campaign.xml in the campaigns folder is needed to set up the nationalities that participate in the theatre. I have a rough campaign made up which I haven't used for years, because the theatre lacks shippinglanes, so that ship spawns do not work. That is a bit of a discouragement for me to persist in a campaign for the theatre.

However, scripted missions are different from campaigns in the way that shipping can be written in to scripted missions. So at the moment the theatre is a sandpit for mission builders, and the fun bits of random spawning for campaign missions cannot be fully exploited.

Firepower is payware, not sure if you have it or not?

Firepower is a old payware add on which adds new aircraft (mainly allied heavy bombers and rare and obscure German aircraft) as well as new missions and a updated campaign to use them in. Here's a link if you're interested: https://a2asimulations.com/product/firepower-for-microsoft-combat-flight-simulator-3/ there's also a retail version called Aircraft Powerpack if want a copy on DVD, but last I check it runs about double the price Ebay.

The PB4Y-1 that some missions are referring to is in fact the converted B-24, it's still called a B-24 but the fp2pto converter gives new liveries to the aircraft converted and the B-24's livery is similar to the livery the PB4Y-1 & 2 use.

I'd love a campaign for PTO Solomons, but unfortunately here's no playable campaign for PTO Solomons, the one included is only there because the game won't function correctly otherwise.

yes i have firepower
 
i just did the firepower converter but now there isn't a PB4Y-1 file in the aircraft folder where did it go

Is there a B-24J in Navy Blue like the one in my profile pic? That's the PB4Y-1 some missions are referring to, the B-24 and PB4Y-1 that the missions are referring to are that same aircraft.
