High-end PC visuals settings for ETO Expansion
Self installing files for the terrain textures and scenery in ETO expansion, with configuration utility settings to improve the overall quality and depth of the visuals. Reccomend minimum dual core CPU, 512Mb high-end PCI-e graphics, 4Mb RAM.

64 bit available?

Greetings-
The file references a 64 bit version. I did a search with no luck. Does anyone know where to find it?

Thanks

Fly Swatter.... The performance visuals for ETO file is very easily set to install into a 64 bit system. Download the eto-Perf_visuals.exe file (click open and extract it to a location on your PC (desktop for example) There will be three files... a text document with instructions, a folder with configuration settings, and an .exe that installs the files to your game folder., double click the .exe file to run the installer, the first screen you will see is the location to extract files into confirmation page. Click the browse button and browse to your ETO installation folder (should be C:/program files (x86)/microsoft games/CFS3 ETO Expansion) and select or type the location..... click install and let it run. If it asks to overwrite files select yes ( a full set of backups is provided in case you want to go back to the original settings). Then open the configuration settings folder, it walks you thru the cfs3 configuration page by page, follow the instructions. When you finish that, go to your ETO folder, C:/program files (x86)/microsoft games/CFS3 Eto Expansion and open the Terrains folder, at the bottom of the list find the scenery.zx and terrain.zx files and delete them (it writes new ones when you restart the game).

Thats it....enjoy...

Posted this in the original thread but it works here too.

Being the eternal pessimist I am, that "enhancement" makes sure you'll lose your 2048x2048 skin enablement if you have one done. It also manages to drop frame rates by almost 50% while keeping the looks the same simply because it tells you to use the _SYSTEMMEM option instead of the _RENDERTARGET in the "Pool" selections. It also increases the scenery quality marginally in the compositescenerybudgets.xml and compositescenerytextures.xml which is the main difference it seems to make together with higher scenery LODs. I didn't find a single difference in the actual textures, or any other file for that matter.

Another thing, the need for at least 4 GB of RAM is a total joke. I've never managed to make CFS3 use more than 1.5 GB - not even with those mods applied - and this rig has that 4 GB.
