CFS3 Simulation Rate?

My CFS3 is running fast in combat. I think it might be the simulation rate, but I can't find any way to adjust it. Does anybody know how to slow it down?

WF,

The same darn thing was happening to me and nearly drove me insane. Someone here on the forum told me what to do to clear it up and it worked like a charm. Let me see if i can remember what it was.

Yeah, its driving me nuts because I can't stay stable on their tail long enough to get a shot off. Let me know if you figure it out or not cuz I'm stuck playing CFS1 till i get this straightened out.

Alas, it was I. If you are using Vista, try this. Open up the control panel, then System and Maintenance. You then have a choice to select a "power plan". Choose "high performance". This may help clear things up.

There's a similar path and option in XP.

Although it may look as if CFS3 is running too fast, in fact, it's running too slow. The high performance option should help and thereby avoid the so-called Benny Hill effect.

I'm using XP professional and can't figure it out. I looked in system>Advanced options but all it had was settings for appearance.

Try searching for "power options" or something to that effect. It is there somewhere. The XP terminology may be different, but you can boost the performance if you find it. If I were at an XP machine now, I'd look. If I get more info for XP, I'll pass it along.

Try this. . . maybe. Control panel - performance and maintenance - power options. (Or maybe it's just CP-power options). I think the option you want is "home/office", but noodle around with it. You want the option with the highest performance, altought it uses the most electricity.

Go to ctrl panel --> power options then under "power schemes" select "home/office desk" or "always on". Stay away from any power saver green settings. This is what appears to cause the "benny hill effect".

Thanks guys, I got it figured out. I adjusted the power scheme and it fixed it.
