Question for the DP designers out there -
I've been fiddling with a personal modification of the stock Stuart tank (making it drivable, adding a turret-mounted .50cal and a main gun etc) and I've been trying to find a suitable sound file to replace the standard cannon sounds. I found the following on the calebflerk.com website which details the standard DP gunstation sound breakdown:
CFS2 WEAPON SOUND CODES
0 = .303 cal
1 = 7.7 mm
2 = .50 cal
3 = 13 mm
4 = 20 mm
5 = 30 mm
6 = 40 mm
While thats been tremendously helpful, all of the sounds are not quite "throaty" enough for my liking. The stock Fletcher Class DD has a good sound file for its 5in guns, which its DP gunstation listing shows as being sound number 7, so naturally I've tried that number but it does not work, even after changing matching the weapon type number. Anybody have any ideas what I'm doing wrong? Is it an issue with the .mdl file for one being an aircraft and one being a ship? Thanks for any help/advice!
