Chesapeake Regional Airport for Prepar3D

gray eagle

SOH-CM-2026
Found a decent freeware GA airport (KCPK) that was done for P3DV4 by a Er-Jin Jang. I managed to convert it for P3D V5.4 use.
This link is to Avsim for his original version. If you use it in V5, then the default objects will bleed thru and the
buildings will clash with his objects, ergo my conversion eliminates the bleed thru issues. I tried to contact the author and have not received any replies.

Using google earth, I noticed that the parking lot on the other side of the main terminal is missing along with three flag poles.

Got a reply from the author (Daniel Jang) and he encouraged me to use Sketchup and add them if I wanted to as he does not have time
or plans to make any revisions. Trouble is, I do not use nor know how to use Sketchup. If any one out there would like to make the small changes
(add animated flagpole and add parking lot) it would be appreciated.

Sketchup is not used to do that. The parking lot can be added in ADEX and the three flags can be added animated with SODE and placed with Slewmaster to the exact position. If I get the time, I will do that and share the update here maybe next week. Butch, PM me the link to download it for P3D V4.5 and I don't see a problem doing it since I have flags. I will checkout where the windsock(s) are to change and add with SODE as well.

I am slowly learning MSFS 2020 and still intend to use P3D V4.5 because I am not going to just ignore all the work I did with the sceneries. I just cen't get the hang of Blender so none of them will be converted unless someone else wants to who knows a whole lot more than I do about that.

I pm'd you a link to the original airport, if that is what you needed.

adding the flags and other stuff would be great!

Thanks
Butch

No problem, I'm sure. Sure a lot easier than trying to understand MSFS 2020. It's beautiful but daunting to say the least.
