Chinese SB-2M-103

Based on the Morten repaints, I made a silver SB2 as used by the Chinese in 1941. The AVG escorted these a couple of times ...

I noticed the a/c will need a WIN 7 safe 2D panel ...

When are you releasing it?

Based on the Morten repaints, I made a silver SB2 as used by the Chinese in 1941. The AVG escorted these a couple of times ...

I noticed the a/c will need a WIN 7 safe 2D panel ...

Are you close to releasing this quaint one?

Would love to work on a 2D panel for it... etc.

Cheers,
G.

Hi Gaucho,

I'll package up the repaint after I tweak the dp file.

The original a/c has no VC, & the 2D panel causes CTD in WIN 7. It needs someone familiar with panel building to sort that out & it's not me :dizzy:

Maybe Beepee can join in the project....

I think Beepee just might be the MAN! Let's hope he's listening...
btw... going to be in Germany by the end of the month...when I get a ride to Mildenhall.. hope we can share a pint or two..
Cheers,

Gaucho,

Mildenhall is a way south of Liverpool or Leyland, but if I'm travelling on business & in the area at the time I'll stand you a drink for sure!:very_drunk:

UncleTgt,

Great skin, and it's interesting that the Chinese did something similar to the Finnish; requisitioning enemy aircraft.

I looked in Morton's package...no panel that suits it.

A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Skins - Other

Description: Chinese Tupolev SB-2M-103 skin by UncleTgt.

This is a repaint for Thicko's Tupolev SB-2M-103 for CFS 2, as reworked by Morten.

This aircraft is from 2nd Bombardment Group, China SEP 41.

I've added kelti exhausts to the dp, & changed the country ID to CHINA. I've also included an aircraft.cfg file.

To install, unzip the download to a temporary folder & copy across your chosen texture files into the texture folder for the Tupolev_SB-2M-103, letting it overwrite the files there.

-OR-

Create a copy of your Tupolev_SB-2M-103 aircraft & rename it. Replace the textures with the files included in this zip.

Thanks to:

Thicko for the original aircraft.

Morten for his tweaked model & set of Soviet repaints, all I did was to rework these textures back to a plain unmarked skin, then apply some metallic paint & markings.

This is freeware and subject to the usual conditions.

I was curious....

:applouse: stellar panel Gaucho! Such an improvement on the original a/c panel.

When you said there was no panel for it... your wonderful skin picked my curiosity so I downloaded the original
Russian version... and indeed it had what thought was a nice panel with lots of possibilities...
Thus, I immediately set out to do some cosmetic surgery.. and voila'... we got us a simple but effective bmp for it...
that can actually be turned into something quite sophisticated with the right config... maybe Beepee might be up to
do it... The pedestal and yoke can be within it or as a pop up...
Glad you like it....

Cheers,
G.

btw... I checked the map and saw the distance from Mildenhall... probably not a problem with the rail system...
