Any Wacom Intuos 3 users out there that use it with PSP?
If so, how well does it work?

Decision time today!! :banghead:

Either the Intuos 3 or an LG 22" LCD. Both are in stock at my local Best Buy but I can only get one!

BTW, I have a perfectly good 19" ViewSonic CRT but I don't have a tablet.

Comments or opinions ?

Merry Christmas Ya'll! :wavey:

As someone who uses the Wacom Intuos III everyday, i'd say get the Wacom - since you already have a 19".

What is your use for the Wacom btw? And what size are you getting? I recommend at least the 6x8 for regular day use, but if you want to get into digital painting, go for the 9x12.

Wacom is releasing a new line of Wacoms next year (i'm currently doing some promotional material for them as we speak)....so you can always wait for the new version...but the Intuos3 is just as perfect. :)

Hi FengZ ~

Thanks for the reply. Yes, is the Wacom is the way I'm leaning. Do you know how well it works with PSP? I'm not in the profession but do a fair amount of doodling, especially with FS repaints. So, I would like to get away from using the mouse for hours at a time!

well, the wacom3 is a very professional tool because of it's high pressure sensitivity and tilt detection, so once you get used to it, it feels just like a real pen or paint brush. Wacom also makes the Graphire version, which is a good starting platform for learning.

But, the money is well worth it for the Wacom3. I suggest you get the 6x8 for now, and spend a year or so getting used to it. Once you like it, buy a 9x12. If you start too big, it can feel very awkward.

I haven't used PSP for digital painting before, but i'd imagine it should work just fine. The Intuous 3 comes w/ Photoshop elements, so you can play around w/ that software as well. Photoshop is definitely the King in this area, so Wacom+PS is the perfect combo.

I have a Graphire as it was the only one I could afford at the time. Someday I hope to have one of the Cintiq models.

Decision made...Intuos3 is under the tree! :jump:

Is it Christmas yet? :icon_lol:

I'm using a WACOM tablet, just the dingy 6x8, but I absolutely love it. I don't use it enough to warrant a larger size, as most of my work with it tends to be manips, signatures, etc. I couldn't say enough about it however. The tool is absolutely essential if you do any type of photo editing, media work, etc.

I cannot stress how neat this device is. Easily one of the most useful and neat devices I have purchased for my computer in years, and easily as useful as a joystick or high quality speakers. Once you get it, you will THEN realize what you have been missing.

WoW! feng~ incredible!

Thanks CV for the commetns and encouragement. I can't wait to take mine out for a spin tomorrow. :jump:

That painting is amazing! And it's not even done? Could you post it when you finish it....that would make a killer desktop wallpaper for those times when I am in the mood for some Fantasy/Sci-Fi themes.
