Claim form question

I placed a claim for two enemy observation balloons. After I submit claim I get an error box that appeared saying something about the claim and off manager (my bad for not writing it down but I was in a hurry).

When I go to my pilot dossier , I see the mission logged and that claims were submitted. When I go to view claims I see nothing there.

Did I lose my claims? I forgot now if they show up after conformation or denial or are they always suppose to be there?

Any ideas on the error? it said the error was placed in some log? where can I find that error log?

If that happens MK2 if you can note the precise error message then we can look into it. I don't know if you have lost the claims, but doesn't sound good.

There's a log in campaigns\campaigndata folder offlog.txt

here it is, I had just found it before clicking back here (bolded error below) BTW I don't see any claim in the pilot.txt files...oh well..:

OKk problem is the "data follows", didn't follow I think - so it's stuffed.
No idea why. At the moment you can only claim for a balloon properly if it's your mission to kill a balloon... if you claim 2 not sure what happens but possibly what you have there. Have you claimed for 2 before?

I was of the impression, that Obervation Balloons were just ground targets, and such no claim should be generated. The only time you could be credited with a balloon was when it was an asigned target :wiggle:

Gimp, It was a balloon mission.

Pov, Never claimed two before, it's possible that only the one target balloon is the one I can claim right? However when I submitted 2 it did not give me the "your claim is erroneous etc. are you sure you want to submit" message .
Also there usually are several balloons next to the target one.

I got a sure fix.......... ....:kilroy:Lift the Balloon targets only being ground targets next patch and let the free hunting begin:friday:

Or actually how about all Balloons are free game when you draw a balloon mission...can the campaign maanger handle that?

Pov, the same pilot just shot down a Fokker Dr1 (at 100 realism hooray!) and claim form submitted and went through just fine!

BTW I noticed there was no selectable Fokker DR1 in claim form and submitted as single seat fighter type just FYI

Yep it's not so easy to "lift them" that's the problem they are not aircraft in CFS3. Yep on a balloon busting I think you can only claim 1 (otherwise you now have 1 air and 1 ground).
Maybe later versions we can make them all valid air targets but converting them in "processing" stage as we can track what you are doing, but that needs more work.

Yep sometimes you have to choose generic names (that's why we have them to cover any oddities).
