Claims Suggestion...

Would it be possible to submit claims after the mission is "Done". Currently the menu pops up after the flight and once submitted it's gone never to be seen again. On a few occasions I didn't know the type aircraft shotdown... or the name of my wingman (or gunner) and wanted to look it up in the aircraft directory or squadron list... but couldn't get back to submit the claim... once I was done with that mission. It would be nice to be able to submit claims for past missions. Thanks.

Great game... I have a Vista 64 rig and everything seems to work fine. Thanks for all your effort... :applause:

Hello,

Basically its done so that as in real life you take note of what you shoot....and how you shot it and then report it.

A little method that might prove handy: Jot down on pad, the names of your mates Prior to going into battle. Put LABELS on your joystick, to provide Positive ID of just What or Who you just shot down :kilroy:

I've gone one better. I have a small dry erase board near the computer. I have all the names of my Jasta mates on the board. Before I fly, I make a check mark next to the names of those who will be with me that mission. After I fill out the claim report (if there is anything to claim) I erase the check marks and I'm ready to start over. As pilots die and/or transfer in, I add and remove accordingly. It's like a real duty board.

Being a bit anal I created a spreadsheet with my Squadrons name, all the names of my squadmates and wingman, a row showing their status (active/KIA/MIA/On leave), then a separate area for kill claims with their plane type, date, and if it was confirmed or denied. I scribble it in as soon as I can when flying, then once done for the day and back in the barracks I type it in and update/save/reprint it. Makes filling out the kill claims easy...

Perfect Gents thats the sort of role playing the claim form system was meant to 'enforce' - IOW live the moments get to know your squad!

In V 1.2 I hope to relate that you will be able to identify them easier in the air too - more on that later.

Love it.

Thats just too coool...nice idea...

Since posting is originally, I've been doing as you suggested and have not had any problems keeping track. I like the idea of a squadron chalk board... nice touch.
Thanks for all your comments.

Hmmmm does that mean we will get squad members names? or Positions? hmmmmmm sounds good

Somehow, I detect a possible change of Labels around the corner.

I remember back in phase 1, I had problems with my registry ( thankfully that computer is History)

I had the strangest labels, they gave the pilot's Rank & Kill record

If anyone is curious, they are Old CFS3 commands

Toggle Kill Labels = Cntrl + Shft + /
Toggle Label Types = Ctrl + /
Toggle Rank Labels = Shft + /

I always say: 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it' :kilroy:

I've been jotting down my flight members on a pad for later.

When filling out claims, what is the description section looking for? Key words? Or just; "craft shot down and crashed?" How descriptive should it be? If you shoot down an ace, do you need to enter his name? Does it actually help?

What are you guys putting down?
