I know there are some sim-racing fans here; but for those who haven't played GTR2, you should check it out!

I just installed Power & Glory (finally don't need my stupid GT Legend's starforce disk anymore!) for GTR2...

this mod is sooooo cool!

Btw, this is an older game, so the FPS is ultra-dooper-super-smooth (i get about 180fps (interior) to 250+fps (exterior)....so if your machine can handle FS9 fine, this game will run at least twice as smooth.

just took these shots...the cars are gorgeous...

oh btw, the russian-bloom plugin works fine in GTR2 as well.

For some reason, I really loved the old classic Jag sedans. The GT-40 took quite a while to learn. Dang what a wild handling car.

I'll have to keep my eyes open for GTRII.


Do these work with TrackIR? That would be pretty awesome...

The Power & Glory is a FREE mod, which converts the cars from GTL into GTR2. Thus, you get upgraded graphics, physics, and weather, etc. It actually makes itself into a stand-alone game. A merge between GTL+GTR2.

All you need to do is have GTR2 installed, and your original GTL DVD disk (the mod checks it to make sure you legally own it).

I've been having a blast racing only at 65mph! lol....

need to buy a wheel tho...been using a gamepad.

I have played a few older racing games on my puter...and the sounds were always so annoying that I ditched the games. How are the sounds in GTRII? I am an audio freak...so sound quality is a big thing for me. A nice American muscle car should not sound like a weed eater.

P&G is now into version 2, much improved.
Historix for rFactor is more to my taste ...... but I'm an rFactor devotee.

I just did 12 laps in a Mustang with my speakers and bass on max! oh man, i can barely hear right now...lol! I scared the crap outta my dog too...no idea where he went to hide.

It sounded like the engine block was right on my desk and shaking the entire room.

so yeah, the sound is great!

if you do get it, DON'T install it; because it comes with Starforce copy protection. This "rootkit virus" can actually do physical harm to your CD/DVD drive (especially if it's a new model)...so be very careful with it. Starforce completely killed the CD/DVD writer on my last laptop (it won't spin up at all).

so if you do buy it, just install P&G and import the cars in...
