Classic Hangar Taifun in P3D

Has anyone successfully installed the Bf-108 in P3D without using the migration tool? The installer doesn't allow for any change, which defaults to the FSX location. I tried manually copying over the components, but there are apparently files I'm missing and so it isn't working.

I have installed it using the migration tool and it works fine. Could not do it otherwise. Then I uninstalled the tool as it was breaking other stuff like Milviz code and Tacpack.

Yes..I've had similar problems so I really don't want to go that route if I can help it. I made a dummy FSX folder and installed to that, then moved everything to P3D. However when it tries to load the airplane I get a CTD. It's possible one of the gauge dll's is the culprit.

I don't remember how I installed it.... but it's definitely there in my P3D hangar and it works perfectly. And I don't have the migration tool.
I'll take a look tonight to check if I remember anything.
I don't think it's too difficult to move it, though...

I wouldn't have thought so either. I thought installing to a dummy FSX folder would give me everything I needed. Then just manually move all of it to the proper folders in P3D. Apparently there may be something else That the installer does in the process that goes beyond just the folders in the Sim? No idea. I'll be gone until early this evening so when I get home I'll go back and look everything over. Thanks for your help.

Ok this is strange: my installer (filename is Classics_Hangar_Bf108_v1.1.exe) asks me for a destination folder. It doesn't force me to install anywhere. Default proposed location is in the FSX-Steam folder, but I can redirect it anywhere I want...
Same with the SP2 installer (Bf108_SP2_en.exe)

I have placed a copy of the fsx.exe in the P3D root directory and using the FSX Registry Tool put that path into the registry. That works fine for me.

I just purchased a few days ago. I only have one of those installers (the updater-SP2_en). The main installer is CH-Bf108_Taifun.zip and it defaults to the FSX installation and doesn't allow any other selection.:dizzy:

Reinstalled the Migration tool long enough to install the Taifun and then uninstalled it. So far so good.
