That's a sound (along with the sound of a Merlin engine) that I will never grow tired of hearing.
 
I would have loved to have been there!
There is nothing like four Olympus engines spooling up.
If everything goes well with the engine testing on XH558, I will be lucky enough to witness it during the Farnborough week :jump: (09.-15. July 2012).
 
Great stuff! I first saw XH558 two summers ago, flying in to Leuchars to begin its display before landing on. I've never seen anything so alien in the sky, you'd almost expect it to let fly with lasers and death rays. The howl of those four Olympus turbojets at takeoff is unforgettable. :icon30:
