Cloud issue, Question

Cloud issue, Question-answered thanks

In the past I flew from one end of the Grand Canyon to the other and all seemed well.

I installed the OsX Grand Canyon freeware at the same time as a Mexico photo freeware last week. When I went to fly the GC I had clouds half in the ground. So I unistalled both packages. Problem remained. Next I did a complete FSX re-install.

Today I thought to test it out and the clouds are still at ground level. Now the GC airport is at just under 7000ft so maybe I'm wrong and this is normal even though I don't remember it being this way the first time I flew the Canyon.

Is this normal?

Thanks Boomer. Doesn't bother me if it's correct.

I wasn't sure if it might be a symptom of something wrong with my install. I noticed that the OzX package came with a mesh and I had FSGenisis' mesh installed too and thought they may have conflicted.

If it's right it's all good, thanks again.

The reason is elevation...... You can and will in real life drive thru clouds out in that area.....

I think its pretty cool to do....Till I hit the ground...

yup its elevation, Grand canyon area is about 8k ft up till you hit the big hole in the ground, something i never new till flightsim!
