Cloud Surfing

Bomber_12th

SOH-CM-2025
I wanted to do a flight from Duluth today, home of Cirrus Aviation, but there was solid overcast. Fortunately, though, the cloud deck only reached to just above 7,000 ft, so I went ahead with the flight anyway and here are some screenshots. One of the things I really enjoy about this sim is flying up through overcast, where it starts off so dark and moody underneath, but as you climb through the clouds it starts getting brighter as you near the tops, and then suddenly as you break through the clouds everything becomes so bright and vibrant.

Great series there John! It's quite amazing and impressive just how authentic everything is arrayed in this sim.

Also, I didn't think I would enjoy point A to B flying as much since doing a lot of combat simming for the last few years. But, I was wrong. You can really go exploring in this sim.

Thank you Rick. Yes, with this sim, unlike any other, A to B flights are no longer just about where you takeoff from and where you're going, and are almost all about what you're going to see on the way.

Just to add a bit more to this thread, here are some additional screenshots I took of the SR22 last night, near Portland, OR.
