Decided to take a break from the Gee Bees and do a C-1A Trader or two. Still getting the paint kit like I want it, but here's the work in progress shots of Bu No 146027 of VRC-40 aka "Codfish Airlines"
I've always liked the Trader since I got a ride in one back in the mid 70s. I've got a few more of 'em in mind once I get the paint kit sorted out like I want it. I started this one to figure out the kit.
I've got a pic of this one on my old ship the Lexington that is dated Oct 1985. VRC-40 back in the day had the nickname "Codfish Airlines". I remember seeing one in the hanger bay of the Lex with it on the nose. I couldn't find a pic of that, so I did the best I could from memory.
