Collin, some Norway questions for you...

Good evening, my friend.

I have some questions for you regarding British operations in Norway, because I have in mind some ideas for expanding Bardufoss Hurricanes this weekend and over the break.

First, I changed the carriers from the Ark Royal to the HMS Furious from your shipyard, because the Furious is a reasonable match for the HMS Glorious.

As far as other participation, the Skua raid by 803 squadron on the Konigsberg is covered by the Swordfish campaign, and the Gladiators stationed at Lake Lesjaskogsvatnet which were struck by He-111s is covered by the Heinkels! campaign. That mission can easily be flipped.

From my research, 263 Squadron, along with 46 Squadron, participated, but all other information is sketchy at best, including 701 squadron, 802 squadron, 803 squadron, and 804 squadron. Any additional information you or others can supply, including specific raids, such as the one by 263 squadron on targets around Trondheim, would be greatly appreciated.

I would like to include Skuas, Sea Gladiators, and "normal" Gladiators in this, if I can get the research help I need. I figured since the FAA is your specialty, you might be able to lend me a hand here. I remember a long time ago that Jagdflieger and Morton were working on a Norwegian campaign, but I've not heard anything about that in a couple of years. If I could have something like that to work off of, it would be a big help.

Thanks,

Jamie thanks for the Gladiator link, I was wondering where it had gone to.

Ju-52 Norway skin No.2 nearing completion - got a few bugs to iron out, looks nice with the DP added in.

Does anyone have a photo looking down into the aft gun position ? Could superimpose in in the skin if there is. While the gunner looks good it also looks as if he's part of the roof rather than in a gun position. Will see what I can do with the repaint.

Reply..

Seagull and others,

Thanks for all the info. I finished Bardufoss Hurricanes last night, so now I will sift through all of the information available and put together some missions based on what you guys have linked me to.
