Collins Foundation

That doesn't sound good at all. I'm a Tour Co-ordinator for Collings here in Delaware, and if this happens, it'll be a very sad day indeed. The crews of these WWII warbirds are more dedicated to the tours and stops than anyone can really understand. To see it all end would be the final blow for people all around the US to see and ride in them. I always figured it would be their airworthyness that that would stop them from flying, but it seems bureaucratic BS is going to be the final blow.

Time for everyone to start writing letters.

I posted the full email I was sent from the Collings Foundation here. http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforums/showthread.php?t=3195

This is the most disturbing part of the whole email - "As to its effect on the Collings Foundation, our assessment is that, as proposed, it would be fatal to the Wings of Freedom Tour and our ability to take these historic aircraft around the country and share them with millions of Americans annually."

B-24, I haven't heard a word from Hunter at Collings. Thanks for the info, and time to give him a call.
