As soon as it is approved by the moderators, a new effects package is uploaded under CFS3 Other/Effects.
Majormagee has sunk a lot of time into refining my initial ideas. He has achieved wonders.
Included in the package are a combined effects.xml which will work across different CFS3 installs. Also included is a combined sounds.xml.
A large file comprising the fxtextures folder is included to ensure that all the wonderful effects are rendered properly.
A few sound .wav files are included in case some of the basic things like random flak sounds are missing from some of your installs.
As always, the key is to back up original files, and use discretion when deciding whether to overwrite textures or sounds.
