• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

Hey_Moe is trying to get funds together to get a nice birthday present for our dearly beloved, sometimes maligned, under appreciated Ickie. Check out the thread in the News Hawks forum....Moe is currently getting a feel for how many of the SOH/Combatfs members would be willing to chip in some green toward this purchase. If you are willing to chip in even a small amount of green, let your voice be heard. If enough folks answer the call, Moe will set up a donation area to collect the funds and will build a new system for Ickie (whose current system is giving him problems) complete with a nice BIG monitor so his ancient and ill eyes can better see to keep our forum running.

I know money is tight for folks...trust me, I KNOW....but even a five spot from enough members will get this present secured for a man who has given and given and given of his time and talents...and health...for our enjoyment.

Being a...

...perennial 'soft-touch', I can usually be relied upon for a meager contribution......and since I'm girding my loins to make my annual homage to SOH later this month, I might as well kill two with one. :friday:
