Commemorative Air Force plan to relocate

My brother and I once visited the USS Texas museum near Houston. At one point we considered visiting the CAF over at Midland. Same state, how far can it be? Needless to say we cancelled that plan as soon as we figured out the range. Texas is big! It'll be cool to have them close to you. Send pics!
 
I remember the first time I drove into Texas on I-10 from Louisiana when I crossed the state line into Texas the first mile marker in Texas on I-10 was like 892. I was like, "DAAAYYYUMMM!"
 
I've driven from Texarkana to El Paso and back a few times. Best to pack a couple of lunches for that one.
