Hello for all in this secton too... my computer decided to die a bit so I'm back for CFS1 (and CFS2) for the time being.

The downside is the stock content - doing "handbrake turns" with fighters doesn't meet my idea of realistic flight modelling. I used to have a package that upgraded all the stock aircraft with new skins, new flight models, in something of a 1% off real life way. But I don't have it anymore and for the life of mine can't remember where I once found it. Anybody got any clue what I'm talking about?
 
I really have no idea about the package you are describing. I figure there really wasn't anything particularly great about the stock aircraft except perhaps their panels and gauges. The stock Spitfire Mk.IX is a pretty good representation of a Spitfire Mk.XIV for performance.

Perhaps someone else here has this package?

there is a package of repaints
for all of the stock CFS Aircraft.
the repaints are the fine work of PJ Dunbar.
included in the package are 1% airfoils.
I particularly like the Fw 190 repaint.

I will dig through my stuff and try to find it for you.
 
well, that search wasn't half bad...

included in the package are textures
for stock aircraft that are scenery objects
and as an added bonus;
Paris Landmarks scenery.bgl
as well as the 1% air files
and the PJ Dunbar stock aircraft repaints.

this package was a gift from PJ Dunbar
several years ago.
I have not heard from him for many years,
but I am sure he wouldn't mind if I shared.

I also have a Bare Metal P-51D repaint,
which was given to me by Pol,

...but this one is! Brilliant, huge thanks! No matter what one is looking for - if it flies in CFS it can seemingly be found at SOH. And I'm sure he allows sharing too, after all I used to have the package found from somewhere on the web but have no idea where it was. Now it won't get lost again.
 
I'd scrap all the stock aircraft - the visual models are utterly disproportionate - and start all over again... Hope to see you back soon though! We have those 109s to finish one day...
