Conceptual Beech Twin Delta-Wing

Lionheart

SOH-CM-2014
Hey guys,

I was parusing the web for textures for a project and stumbled upon a pic of a Beech twin. The pic appeared to give you teh feeling that the bird was a delta wing. So I downloaded it, ran it through Photoshop and cropped out the tail, moved the winglets around for better 'Perspective', and Voila.... One prototype delta-wing Beech Baron. I guess its not a 'Baron' anymore.. Have to give it a new class of royalty name... Count?

Should probably have a little upside down 'rudder-ette' under that shortend tail, like the Starship has.

:d

Uh... I don't know just how stable that thing would be in a croswind, but it looks like it's going 900 MPH just sitting there.

That looks suicidal.

How about a Starship? If ever there is an under modelled Beech its that amazing plane.

Blackbird,

Yeah, it would be really unstable, lol. Sure looked cool though when I saw that in the photo. The shading was just right. In my mind, I saw the root of the main wing stretching from near the tail to the spar in the front, so a ton of wing area. But with no main rudder, that would be a bit of a handfull to fly, if it could.

Kurt,

The Starship is being modelled by a gentleman presently over at FreeFlightDesign.com. Should be neat when its done. There is also a payware that came out a couple of years ago. Cant remember who did it. I think its at Abacus.

Ok let's see.Shorter wings,jet engines,vertical takeoff......wow...my type of craft!!:ernae:

I used to work for a Beech dealer. We had one customer with a Starship. By that time, Beech had decided to quit supporting it and buy the remaining airframes back. Man, it was a cool airplane, when parts could be found for it.

Have to admit that a decent Beech Starship could get me to burn more kerosine.

LOLOL....! :costumes:

This is a rare (very rare) moment, that Willy would say he would fly something that is powered by 'garage heaters' that run on Kero.

Never thought I would see the day.... :d

Always have wanted a decent starship...this one I shot at the Evergreen museum in McMinnville, Oregon.

Bill, a very cool looking bird indeed!

To answer your original question... the peerage titles in England (by order of precedence) are: dukes, marquesses (marquis), earls, viscounts, and barons. There is one title not listed, but ranking above all others... Sovereign (HRH The Queen).

My choice for the bird would Beechcraft Sovereign.

Oh man.. I'd love too.. Im doing the Piper Pacer PA20 tail dragger, a Fanliner, the Epic Victory VLJ, redoing the Kodiak and Trinidad for FSX... If I could squeeze in the Delta, I would! Its a beautiful bird. (Its on the front of the newest edition of EAA magazine).
.....Epic Victory VLJ!!!!??!! Bill you are my hero. The VLJ's have been lacking in availability for fs......save for the 'CLS Bizjet' eclipse 500...wasted my money on that one.....you have a definite sale here! :jump:

Rutan designed a predecessor to the Veri/Long E-Z that was called the Vari-Viggen that was pretty neat. I'd rather have a new Starship though! (Please :ernae: ) (If anyone is taking requests.)
