.......with an excellent but bumpy run from 14th to 4th, thinking for a great percentage of the race that his team mate (and oldest racer in F1) RUBENS BARRICHELO would take the world champ title
JENSON became resigned to the fact.
and then (as happens a lot in racing) right out of left field RUBENS gets a puncture and suddenly the GENTLEMAN DRIVER (as he's known) starts smiling and pushing but now he knows it dont matter its in the bag as long as he finishes. which he does, and JB wins F1 WORLD CHAMPION TITLE
............and he deserves it:ernae::ernae::ernae:

........../but secretly and sentimentally i wished RUBENS to win it

Yup congrats to Jenson on his win. Interestingly it is the first time in the history of F1 that two Brits have won back to back titles. :applause:

Are you sure, Larry?

Back to back:

1968: Graham Hill
1969: Jackie Stewart

Four in a row:

1962: Hill
1963: Clark
1964: Surtees
1965: Clark

;)

Brawn did so well (almost unbeatable really) in the early part of the season. It was either good luck or good management as they came right back to the field by mid-season.

Congrats Jenson Button and our man Webber for there wins. I missed this race but will catch a replay on Tuesday.

.........maybe for BRAWN's early season it was a bit of the BRANSON magic touch:engel016:
...(his rep for opening successful projects is legendary)
