All your tutorials are helpful, easy and clutter free. Meat and potatoes, love your straight forward no nonsense approach.
Thanks again for your time and generosity.

Hi Mike. Thanks for your comments; I appreciate them.

You know, talk is cheap and that's what this first video was ... talk. :)

So, I am going to follow that with taking you through all the basic steps showing actual conversion step examples of various kinds using both the animation manager and the attach tool for exterior and interior parts and lights. It will be a good representation of everything you touch. Give me a day or two to get that up.

Converting Your FS9 Gmax Projects to FSX Native Gmax-Part 2

For FS9 Gmax Modelers:

In the previous part 1 video, I described the process and tools used to convert your FS9 gmax aircraft to FSX native format using gmax.

This video shows you how I go through the process I described in the first video.

Hope this is beneficial.

New at this

How would you know a model was created (lack of better word) in gmax and what method was use.

I have a plane that I would like to update if it can be. You may know this guy :

I did find the source of the original YS11a plane: http://htai-models.com/downloads/dwai/fs_projects/index.html

mdl created by FSDS v2.24

I worked for Piedmont 1970/71 ( flew on FH227 and the then new YS11's), then Piedmont went big time with the 737's...:) and would love to see this plane..really just for an ai..... I managed to get it (YS11) to show up in p3dv4.3 but I tried thru MCX... but I can't get any wheels on it because I don't know the variables to set it up.

Thank you

There are FSX versions of the YS-11 available per a Google search I just did.
"YS11 for flight simulation"

Here is a freeware example:

Thank you!!!.. I have several versions but I have p3dv4.3 and the only repaint was I guess done by Dee Waldron. I converted one (converted..thats a joke, anyway) with the help of MCX but the landing gears are missing. The people on board seem very happy and just waving to beat the band unaware that there are no landing gears. I found an updated YS11 from FSP..i guess in Japan but the Waldron paint won't fit it. I was more interested in it for ai or planespotting.. I have a schedule but struggling with this.

Hope you can see the paint. A guy tried to use the Waldron paint on the new japanese (converted for p3dv) ys11 and its too small.

Thanks for responding...here is the website where the plane came from...https://www.facebook.com/FSPXAI/pos...this-is-a-voluntary-contribu/846608042201423/

Bestest,
