Coral Sea DCG

I have reworked the Coral Sea DCG Campaign. It now has the correct ships and very close to the correct number of planes from the carriers on both sides. It is a real furball at times.

The USN had more planes on their carriers.

Between Lexington and Yorltown they had 70 SBD's while the IJN had about 40 Vals.

USN 28 TBD's while the IJN had about Kates between Shokaku,Zuikaku and Shoho.

The USN also carried more fighters.

This is all in the Campaign.

I use FDG planes and rename them in some cases and they have the right textures.

I also have been working on a Defense of Australia DCG which is intense at times.

Another one is Attack on Japan late in the war. I have used Xavier Japan bases for this.

I have also modified Burma42 with the Xavier bases and use Lindsy's P-40B and E. The AVG did start to get P-40E's in March and April 1942.

Next on the list Maybe Santa Cruz and Eastern Solomons.

All are WIP.

I know not many probably fly DCG but it can be fun.

Hi Talon,

I also reworked the Coral Sea DCG. My version has both carrier-based and land-based planes. I'm not sure that's the best way to go with that campaign. I've only flown it enough to verify that it works.

I'm curious to see what your version looks like.

Ettico,

I have land based aircraft in mine also but they really don't get involved. In the actual battle Grace's cruiser force was attacked by Betty bombers.
